Before you start: Check the named beach and today's access conditions. An open entrance, tyre tracks or a social post does not establish permission to drive on the sand.

Look for authorised vehicle access
Kerala Tourism identifies Muzhappilangad as a drive-in beach. That is a location-specific example, not permission for other beaches or every part of that coastline. Confirm the current entrance, driving area and any closure with the local authority.
Check protection and restrictions
Ask the beach manager, administration or coastal authority about vehicle access, nesting areas and temporary restrictions. Wildlife protection rules can matter where protected habitat is involved. Access through a hotel's property does not establish permission to drive over the adjoining beach.
Keep the visit easy to leave
Where driving is expressly allowed, use the designated area and follow posted limits. Check tides and weather, leave space for people and fishing activity, and avoid dunes and nesting areas. Park off the sand when access or conditions are uncertain.
